Papercutting commission for Sepia-Mortis of her three characters Oscar, Richter and Rufus. It’s always a little tricky figuring out a pose that allows multiple characters to be touching each other in a natural-looking way (I try to keep my papercutting work all in one piece, or else it gets really flimsy and frail), but crowding around a book seemed like a good solution!

Oswald Cobblepot
I had this idea of an aged, illustrated man, sociopathic, secretly-a-murderer Oswald Cobblepot and just went with it. The body art was inspired by Philippine indigenous war tattoos and the Maori’s Ta Moko. Just thought that it might be an interesting take on Penguin.I thought of the idea when Sketch Dailies prompted a Penguin theme. But I ended up actually drawing it just now. Ah well.
